We are throwing a party!! We’ve been preparing it for months now and we can finally share this big upcoming event with you. We can proudly announce:
HANDS ON BRASOV PRESENTS: LUMINA
Now that you’ve heard the exciting news, on to the practical info.
The party will take place the 11th of March in Ostend. The exact address is Guido Gezellestraat 13 (De kreeke). Tickets will be sold for 7 euros. The doors open at 19.30, make sure to be there on time if you want to see some awesome bands playing. The rest of the night will be filled with some great tunes from DJ’s such as Goldflake, Bluscreen, Danger and Nexus, Greg Dela, etc…Also, there’s some really good news because there will be a variety of drinks and…HOTDOGS! (Ah, what a time to be alive)
If this hasn’t convinced you yet, we want to remind you that our aim is to invest the money we make by giving this charity party, into the construction of new orphanages in Brasov (Romania). Nothing will be used to fund our own trip or to make any kind of profit for ourselves. So, in other words, just by having fun at a really cool party, you’re actually helping as well! So make sure you check out our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/768465533299270/
Come party with us and try to bring along as many friends as you can!!
We hope to see you soon.

About us

Hello everyone!

Firstly, we want to welcome you to our page. You’re probably wondering what the Romanian-project is and why we decided to create such a wonderful project.

Generally, it’s an exchange program between the students from Unirea, which is located in Brasov (Romania) and us, the senior students from OLVO (PPC). We’re from Belgium or to be more specific, from Ostend. To make this cooperation run as smoothly as possible, we’re expected to speak English the whole time. That’s why the website will be entirely in English as well.

In September the Romanians came to visit us. Every student had to stay with another Dutch student, in other words, in a guest family. We didn’t know each other at all (at first) but we had such a great time together. We showed them some beautiful places in Belgium like Ostend, Bruges and even the European parliament in Brussels! During that week, we could all see how our friendships grew bigger. That’s why we’re also going to visit Romania in April.

But the project isn’t completely about international contacts. We have the intention to do even more than that. The aim is to help Viorel. A man who puts all of his effort into creating a better place for the orphans to stay in. He spends all of his time building orphanages and taking care of those children. Obviously, he can’t do this all by himself. So we wanted to give him a helping hand. Mainly financially but also by organizing fun activities for the local orphans.

Overall, you can see our project is really diverse. That’s why, in the upcoming months, we will be organizing events to raise money. Our intention is to invest the money in the construction of new orphanages in Brasov. If you would like to help us and Viorel, stay tuned and visit our website to check out what we’re planning to do and see how you can help! Together, we CAN make a difference.

Kind regards,

The sixth form humanistic science.
